Our Journey

Established in 2020, Ridin' Alberta has been fostering connections between riders and businesses since day one. We have been promoting local businesses, organizing and attending rallies and events while creating a strong, supportive community of riders and enthusiasts. Join us in our journey to explore the beauty of Alberta's landscapes and the warmth of its communities.

  • How and when did Ridin' Alberta get started?
In 2020, mid-Covid, I (Craig Oldfield) was chatting with a friend and came up with a plan to do a ride on my motorcycle within Alberta to highlight the many awesome places we have to ride in this province and to also help out a few small businesses along the way. I asked for riders to give me recommendations of truly special local businesses and after compiling a list I set a route that would take me about 4000 km to visit the locations throughout the province. It took me 12 days to complete the original tour which I called "Ridin' Alberta" and after returning figured that was it. Was I ever wrong. I found that many riders wanted to be able to share info on places, businesses and routes and so Ridin' Alberta was born. Through our social media and our website we have become a true mecca for motorcyclists and a driving force within the motorcycle community in Alberta.
  • What is the Members with Benefits program?
It is very simple, we have partnered with local owned businesses in order to give them free promotion to the riding community. Our members proudly support small, locally-owned businesses that are the heart of our communities. By choosing to spend their money at these unique spots instead of big chain stores, they help keep local economies strong and vibrant. In return, members enjoy exclusive discounts and special deals offered by our partnered businesses. It’s a win-win — they save money while making a real difference by supporting the hardworking entrepreneurs who make Alberta a better place to live and ride.
  • How does a local business become part of the Members with Benefits program and how much does it cost?
If you own or manage a small business and want to learn more about our loyalty program and get details on how to sign up please contact me directly either by email or by phone. I strive to keep this program very simple for businesses to become a part of and easy to manage once they have signed up. The cost to the business is $0 since the member fees and corporate sponsorship pay for and sustain the entire program. My email address and phone number can be found in the contact section.
